Ben Rocca recently finished studying his Music BMus at Canterbury Christ Church University focussing mainly on Jazz performance and instrumental teaching and learning. Ben was awarded a First Class degree along with the following university, professional and departmental prizes:

– 2015/16 The Rickards Memorial Prize: Awarded for outstanding contribution to improvised music.
– 2015/16 Performance Prize: Awarded for the highest recital mark in Music.

​Ben has worked and composed music with a number of different bands and ensembles across the UK. These include ‘CCCU University Big Band’ lead by Steve Waterman, ‘Hertfordshire Show Band,’ various jazz bands and pop ensembles as well as the Rocca Brothers jazz duo, giving him the opportunity to perform in the a variety of different settings ranging from Wembley Arena through to restaurants, hotels and music venues. Ben regularly composes and produces music in a number of different styles as well as composing soundtracks for videos and advertisement.

He is passionate about teaching and has experience working with students of all levels and ages. He can teach students who want to learn for fun or he can prepare students for exams in both the classical and jazz styles.
